Vineyard and Cellar Door
VineyardThe Rutherglen wine region has a warm climate with an average annual rainfall of 690mm. We have 8 acres under vine, with the varieties Durif, Orange Muscat, Viognier and Brown Muscat. They grow in red loam on a red clay base with a significant quartz component.
The blocks have traditional wide mid-rows consistent with minimal irrigation. The vines are cane pruned and shoot thinned to carefully control the quality of the fruit. We embrace an organic philosophy and are progressing the vineyard towards this.
Cellar Door
Cellar Door is an interesting and quirky combination of old and new. It uses new corrugated iron, 120 year old red gum posts, a recycled cedar front door, with modern fixtures and a gallery of contemporary artwork.
Cellar Door is open on weekends and Public Holidays from 10 am to 5 pm. We especially enjoy conducting personalised tastings with small food offerings and appreciate your calling us ahead of time if you wish to visit in a group, or during alternate times, on (02) 6032 8844 or 0417 053 649.
